IT and Educational Technology will make Blackboard courses for Fall Semester 2011 "unavailable" to students at 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2012.

Fall Semester 2011 courses will still be visible to instructors, but students will no longer see the courses.

Unexpected, intermittent network outages

IT is currently investigating unexpected, intermittent network outages that began around 12:15 p.m. today. Services were restored at 3:00 p.m. and are not expected to reoccur.

Scheduled maintenance to the air handler unit on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 requires cluster nodes to be shut down to prevent damage. The outage is scheduled to last the entire day. The cluster is expected to be back in operation by Thursday, November 10 2011.

Jobs will not be able to run on the cluster during the outage.

Update 11/3/11: Tonight's maintenance will affect the Missouri S&T Password Changer tool, new account creation for Google, and our Peer-to-Peer file sharing app.

Oracle database is scheduled for 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. this Thursday, November 3, 2011.

Some affected services include Academic Alert, Desktop Enhancement, Survey Tool, Parking Permit, Helpweb, among others.
