Intermittent outages continue to occur with the campus Internet connection and campus web applications (i.e. Blackboard, Joe'SS, etc.). IT is currently working to fix these problems.  Updates will be posted on IT Press as they become available.

Due to our campus transition to the UM System Inter-Campus network this weekend, Some IT customers have experienced intermittent outages, Internet slowness and have not been able to log in to several campus web applications during the day today (Sunday).

We believe these problems have now been resolved.  If you have any questions about this issue or continue to experience problems with any IT services on campus, please contact the IT Help Desk at 573-341-HELP,

On Tuesday, May 13 between 5 and 6 p.m., the Documentum Web Publisher will be unavailable for up to 30 minutes while IT conducts routine maintenance.

The Menu Tool which allows you to edit the website’s menu has been updated to include the ability to add a separator (divider) within a menu - called a ‘Menu Separator’. There is an added area in the menu tool that is specific to adding a gold separator.

To add a menu separator, you will need to do the following:

IT has set up a new tool that will make it possible for some content authors to create and edit items in the menu bars found on the left side of the website template.

For the sake of consistency across all of our academic pages, this tool is currently not available for academic sites.

Please Note: Academic content authors should continue to submit requests for updates and changes by calling the IT Help Desk at 573-341-HELP.

Instructions for accessing and using this tool can be found in the Documentum Training Manual located on the IT Training website. Look for Documentum Menu Tool in the Table of Contents.

A tool for previewing your webpage before you publish it is now available in Documentum. This new feature will allow you to correct any potential typos or formatting issues on your webpage before you make your content live.

To preview your work while in the Documentum interface, follow these steps:

IT has opened four new Documentum training sessions.

Feb. 26: 1-4 p.m., Library 103
Mar. 11: 8:30 a.m. - noon, Library 103
Apr. 1: 1-4 p.m., Library 103

UMR IT will be performing routine maintenance on the Documentum Web Publisher (DWP) servers on Thursday, October 4, 2007, from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., Friday. Web content authors will be unable to access DWP during this maintenance window.

UMR IT will be performing maintenance on the Documentum content servers from 10 p.m. to midnight on Thursday, September 6, 2007. Content authors will be unable to update Documentum web sites during this time.

Furthermore, students attempting to submit a thesis or dissertation into the Scholars’ Mine research repository will be unable to do so during the maintenance window.

The Documentum content servers are unavailable between midnight and 1 a.m. daily for backup procedures.
