Blackboard Outage on Sunday, October 18, 2009

MOREnet, which provides core network services to Missouri S&T and other campuses, will be performing maintenance on UMSL's network from midnight to 1 a.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2009.

As a result, Blackboard at Missouri S&T will be unavailable during the maintenance window.

Other IT services will still be available.

Wimba upgrade on October 9, 2009

IT will be upgrading Wimba Voice Tools building block within Blackboard on Friday, October 9, 2009, starting at 5:30pm.

Wimba Live Classroom and other Voice Tools will be unavailable for approximately 30 minutes during the upgrade process.

Regular Blackboard services will still be available.

Blackboard service has been restored.

8:45 a.m.

The campus Blackboard application is currently experiencing extremely poor performance due to server issues.  Our Blackboard administrators are currently working to restore service and expect services to be restored within an hour.  Updates will be posted at IT Press and EdTech Connect as they become available.

Blackboard service will be intermittent on Sunday, September 13, 2009, from 6 - 10 a.m. as network upgrades are being performed.

Customers can expect Blackboard service outages as long as 30 minutes during this maintenance window.

On the evening of September 11, courses in Blackboard from Summer Semester 2009 will become unavailable to students. If they choose, instructors will be able to make courses available again on a course-by-course basis by using the course control panel.

Access to Blackboard has been restored.

The campus connection to Blackboard (through the University of Missouri - St. Louis) is currently unavailable.  UMSL networking staff are currently troubleshooting the situation to restore service as quickly as possible. More details will be posted here at IT Press as they become available.

Blackboard will be undergoing intersession maintenance Wednesday, August 12, from 8:00am to 2:00pm, and one August 13, from 8:00am until 8:00pm.

Blackboard will be unavailable during these maintenance windows.

Blackboard outage on Sunday, June 28

Blackboard will be unavailable this Sunday, June 28, from 7:00am to 9:00am. The outage is due to maintenance being performed on network firewall software.

On the evening of June 12, courses in Blackboard from Spring Semester 2009 will become unavailable to students. If they choose, instructors will be able to make courses available again on a course-by-course basis by using the course control panel.
