The Menu Tool which allows you to edit the website’s menu has been updated to include the ability to add a separator (divider) within a menu - called a ‘Menu Separator’. There is an added area in the menu tool that is specific to adding a gold separator.
To add a menu separator, you will need to do the following:
• Select the menu item that you want the new menu separator to be place above (or below) by clicking on it so that it is highlighted in below.
• Locate the Add Menu Separator section of the menu tool.
• Click the radio button that will give the desired effect to add the menu separator above (or below) your selected menu item (from step 1).
• There will be a notation in the tree structure on the left-hand side of the menu tool that will indicate where the menu separator was placed.
• When you have added the menu separator and are ready to publish the menu out to your website, please click OK in the bottom right-hand corner of the menu tool.
• Power Promote the menu_General.xml file
- Check the box to the left of the file name
- Go to Tools from the menu bar
o Click Lifecycle
o Click Power Promote
• When the file has been promoted to the Active State, you can view your changes on the website.
NOTE: Web View does not work for the menu_General.xml file.
