Email Status: SMTP Updates May be Required, MinerMail Issue Resolved

Email customers using a client other than MinerMail or Outlook (or customers using the Exchange server with Outlook) will need to configure their outgoing mail protocol to smtp.mst.edu to be able to send email.

Because of the variety of email clients used by our IT customers, IT does not have a specific “how to” published on this topic. Please call the IT Help Desk if you have trouble making this change in your email client.

Several customers have reported difficulties logging in to minermail.mst.edu. This issue should be now be resolved and all MinerMail customers should be able to log in with their user name (without the mst.edu or umr.edu extension) and password.

If you have questions or continue to experience difficulties with either of these issues , please call the IT Help Desk at 573-341-HELP.
